Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps you see the connection between how you think and how you feel. It's practical, structured, and one of the most well-researched approaches for anxiety, depression, and trauma.
How I Work
I do not use a single framework for everyone. I draw from several evidence-based methods depending on what you are actually dealing with.
I take each client seriously as an individual. I do not make assumptions based on a diagnosis or a presenting problem. I listen first.
Sessions are collaborative. You are not a passive participant. I will tell you what I am observing and why I am suggesting a particular approach, and I expect you to push back if it does not fit.
I am also a realist. Therapy takes work, and it does not always move in a straight line. I will be honest with you about that.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I understand what it means to live between two languages and two cultures, and bring that understanding into the work.

CBT helps you see the connection between how you think and how you feel. It's practical, structured, and one of the most well-researched approaches for anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is used for trauma. It helps the brain process memories that feel stuck, so they stop having the same grip on you.
MST is a family-based approach for adolescents with serious behavioral or mental health challenges. It works within the family, school, and community, not just the therapy room.
Using a sandbox and small objects, sandplay gives clients, especially children, a way to express things that are hard to put into words. It can reach places that talk therapy cannot.
I pay attention to what you're already doing right. Therapy isn't just about problems. It's also about building on what's working.
Trauma shows up in many forms. My training in trauma-focused methods means I can work with clients who have experienced abuse, violence, loss, or other difficult events without retraumatizing them in the process.
